We are a friendly community choir with a mixed membership of around 30 singers. We sing A Capella in 3 or 4 part harmony. We don't have auditions and members don't need to read music.

We are based in Tutbury, Staffordshire and sing on Wednesday evenings during term time. We do occasionally perform for charity.

This is a paid position.

We are looking for someone who can build on the excellent grounding we have been given by our current choir leader. Our repertoire includes folk, world music, doowop and much much more.

Musical Director: Willow Songsmith supported and assisted by his wife Rowan

Each session lasts an hour and a half. A ten minute warm-up is followed by learning new songs and practicing old favourites. We sing a whole range of songs from all over the world: folk, doo-wop, gospel, pop and blue-grass. Most are in English but we do try songs in other languages and we had a fantastic response when we sang in French to some French visitors! Whatever we sing, they all have one thing in common, a feel-good factor.
